LAKE OKAREKA 2012 WINTER TROUT FISHING TOURNAMENT REPORT
Thanks to everyone who entered and supported our annual winter tournament. We had a great turnout with 93 entrants.
We would like to extend a big thankyou to the people who supported the competition and donated time and prizes to help make the event a huge success.
Hunting and Fishing Rotorua are supporting this competition with great rates on prizes and we ask that the local hunters and fishermen return the favour.
A special mention to Jeremy Cox and John Herbert for the weigh in and data entry.

Biggest Bag Individual: Grant Phibbs – 15 fish
Biggest Bag Team: Phibbs Team – 17 total
Biggest Bag Family: The Cox Family – 8 fish
Biggest Bag Junior: Mathew Gatenby – 3 fish
Heaviest Trout Adult Male: John Shihan – 2.11 kg
Heaviest Trout Adult Female: Manawa Cox – 1.62 kg
Heaviest Trout Junior: Rewinia Temoni – 1.85 kg (fantastic effort)
Best Condition Factor: Sasha Cox – 52.71 and a wild fish!!!
Overall the competition was a huge success and we actually managed to break even!
