Lake Okareka Fishing Club - September 2016

The 10th Anniversary of the Lake Okareka Fishing Club’s winter Tournament was held on the 9th and 10th of July. It attracted 63 entrants and a total of 57 fish were weighed in. This was not a bad effort considering the appalling conditions!

Once again many thanks to our weigh masters John Herbert and Eben Herbert without these guys it would be a very difficult competition to run.

​Thanks to Hunting and Fishing Rotorua for donating all the spot prizes.

Also thanks also to Nita and the Van Boven family for introducing a new trophy to the winter competition. The trophy is for Best Condition Factor - Junior. We hope it will be keenly contested next year.
