The children enjoyed seeing their displayed canvas and calendar art. The children have learnt more about their gardens with weeding, composting and planting again. The extended session children took delight in creating their own pot person, to guard their special gardens at home. Thank you to Siwan and Annie for sharing their chickens and gardens with the children at the extended session. They are now putting together a book about their visit to share with friends.
The children have performed the Nativity play, in front of their families, friends and community. We are seeing some potential stars already. The children have decorated boxes ready for donations of non perishable food items. As part of Christmas we celebrate the joy of giving with a donation box or two for the Salvation Army and the many families this Christmas. The children gave these food gift baskets to the Salvation Army on the evening of the Nativity. They also shared Christmas cakes baked at Preschool with the help of Sandra Goodwin. Thank -you Sandra. Jason from Earth Education made his last visit this week to encourage the links of recycling and the environment. We are going to the Lynmore end of year production on Tuesday 11th to see the children who were once at Preschool.
With special thanks to those who have made our Nativity and Carnival a huge success. All our families from Preschool and the community who have supported the Children’s Carnival with baking and donating their pre-loved toys and books. It was a wonderful day had by all with plenty of activities, toys for sale and delightful baking too. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a special day for Preschool.
