Welcome to our new children and their families Nirai Raureti Mikaere, with Mum and Dad Ramarie and Booby.
Also to Kaitlyn Giles, with Mum and Dad Charlotte and Warren. And lastly Hannah Buchanan with Mum& Dad Belinda and Gareth.
This term we saw Mitchell Russell graduate to school, thank you and farewell to Audrey and Allan.
Tomas Zuidmeer also graduated on the 24th May Happy School Days to you both.
This term one of our group goals is developing an awareness of the natural world around us.
If anyone has a skill such as pottery, or playing a musical instrument and you would like to demonstrate to the children we would like to hear from you.
We are also learning of the social world and how cultures celebrate customs such as weddings. After we viewed the Royal wedding, we had a few weddings right here with playmates. As in our philosophy we encourage values and positive interactions every day, such as making positive choices and welcoming their friends. We are also fortunate to have Siew Bek introduce Madarin Chinese to the children at Wednesday mat times. Thanks Siew Bek
Vacancies available
We currently have some spaces available, if you would like to find out more about Preschool please give me a call on 362 8606
Thank you
To Landcare for moving the flax bush to a new home over the fence. The flax bush was overgrown and with it gone we have a better view of that area. We are very grateful to Landcare for all their hard work.
Leaves and more leaves
The children have been very busy too raking the many piles of leaves to our new garden bags. These bags are now kept by the shed for anyone to rake and gather for compost. We want to leave these to mulch and add return back to the gardens.
Recycling for the Preschool and Community -
You are now able to support our latest fundraiser by bringing in your cardboard, paper items such as magazines, newspapers etc.
We cannot accept paper or cardboard that is contaminated with food, excessive dirt, grease etc.
As the bin has arrived you can recycle and support your Community Preschool.
Relicensing
Preschool has now been through the relicensing process to meet the 2008 regulations. Our current licence is for 1998 Early Childhood Centre Regulations until we soon receive our new licence.
