Hi there Landcare Okareka volunteers and supporters
Many thanks to the brave souls who ventured out to last month's Landcare Okareka Working Bee which was held in fairly inclement weather! It was an excellent turnout and everything was completed. Thank you to all who came to help.
THIS MONTH'S WORKING BEE - Saturday 23rd September from 9 am to 12 noon
At Boyes beach, planting the newly created garden areas adjacent to the walking track across the reserve. Hopefully we will also have some mulch to spread around the plantings once they have been done. Please park in the car park at Boyes beach.
Please wear suitable clothing and strong footwear. Bring rain gear if it looks like being wet!
Bring planting spades, rakes, shovels, wheel barrow and forks. We will also have some large buckets which are really useful for placing bark around plants. Bring your drink bottle.
We will provide morning tea and extra drinking water.
Hoping to see many of you on Saturday 23rd. Don't forget it is election day - maybe you can cast your vote after the Working Bee...
