Thank you to everyone who came and helped last month with the working bee planting at the DOC camp entrance and cleaning all of the vegetation along the roadway into the camp. Great work.
THIS MONTH'S WORKING BEE:
WHEN: Saturday 23rd August from 9 am until 12 noon
WHERE: beside the Mistletoe Walk in Lake Tikitapu Scenic Reserve, opposite the fire station at Lake Okareka
WHAT: Planting - about 200 - 250 plants - some provided by Bay of Plenty Regional Council to Forest & Bird Pest control project and some from Dept of Conservation.
WHAT TO BRING: Suitable warm clothing, suitable strong footwear, gardening gloves and a spade - if you have one - we have a few spare spades!
We will provide drinking water and morning tea.
This is a joint working bee for Landcare Okareka, Forest & Bird and Rotorua Botanical Society.
