Hi there Landcare Okareka Volunteers
The Rotorua office of the Department of Conservation need some volunteers to help with putting out the new little wasp bait stations in reserve areas around Lake Okareka and Lake Tikitapu. This is the first stage of the new wasp control project using a bait called Fipronil, also known as Vespex or Xtinguish.
Some Landcare Okareka volunteers have already offered to help with this project - thank you. I understand that the bait stations will be put out this coming week.
