I am so happy to tell you that this month's Landcare Okareka Working Bee will be PLANTING!!
These plants are part of Landcare Okareka's plant allocation under our Biodiversity Management Plan with Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
WHEN: Saturday 27th July 2019 from 9 am to 12 noon. Health and safety briefing will take place at 9 am at the TWPT recreation shed. Please sign the H&S register.
WHERE: adjacent to the new Lake Okareka Walking Track, down the track, in the area adjacent to the large platform. Please poark in the Boyes beach public car park - but look to see if the gate into the Te Waiariki Purea Trust recreation building is open, and you can park in there.
WHAT TO BRING: Please wear suitable warm clothing, strong footwear, maybe gumboots as the ground is likely to be wet underfoot. Bring your wet weather gear as we will be planting, even if it does rain ☺. If you have a wheel barrow please bring that, as the plants will need to moved from the TWPT recreation shed area, down the walking track, to the planting site. Bring your water bottle, too if you get thirsty.
We will provide morning tea, drinking water and hand washing water and soap.
Looking forward to seeing many of you on Saturday 27th July at 9 am.
Kind regards
Sandra Goodwin
