First of all "Thank You" to those LO volunteers who came and helped with the 2 working bees that were on last month - one with volunteers from VO2 doing work on the new walking track - and then with LO WB planting on the edges and slips of the new walking track.
THIS MONTH'S LANDCARE OKAREKA WORKING BEE
WHEN: Saturday 24th June 2017 from 9am to 12 noon
WHERE: At the end of Acacia Road and Taumaihi Reserve on the peninsula
WHAT: Planting - plants are part of the annual allocation that Landcare Okareka receives from RLC, DOC and BOPRC
WHAT TO BRING: Please wear suitable clothing (bring rainwear if it looks like raining!), strong footwear - gumboots would be great as ground is quite wet and lake water is over the path, gardening gloves and a spade for planting. A water bottle is also a good idea.
We will provide more drinking water (to top up bottles) along with morning tea.
Looking forward to seeing many of you at this Working Bee.
