Thank you to everyone who came and helped with last month's Working Bee in Tikitapu Scenic Reserve. We were joined by volunteers from Rotorua branch of Forest and Bird and from Rotorua Botanical Society. It was great to get around 500 native plants into the ground in around 2 1/2 hours or so.
THIS MONTH's WORKING BEE: Saturday 22nd September 2018 from 9.00 am
WHERE: Boyes Beach, Millar Road, Lake Okareka
WHEN: Health and Safety briefing at 9 am, over outside the Te Waiariki Purea Trust recreation shed.
WHAT: Planting - NZ native plants, adjacent to the new Lake Okareka Community Walking Track. Plants provided by BOPRC.
WHAT TO BRING: Please wear suitable clothing, strong closed toe footwear, gardening gloves, water bottle. Please bring a spade for planting, if you have one.
Morning tea and extra drinking water will be provided. Children are welcome to take part, but they must be accompanied and supervised by adult caregivers.
