First of all many thanks to everyone who came to help at last month's Working Bee - tidying up the DOC camp, Millar Road. It was great to get this done - and some of you ended up with new fire wood for next winter! This Month's Working Bee will probably be the last one for Landcare Okareka volunteers for this year.
THIS MONTH'S WORKING BEE:
WHEN: Saturday 27th November 2015 from 9am to 12 noon
WHERE: meeting at the Lake Okareka Loop Road sewerage pump station, quite a large area to park.
WHAT: a good tidy up of the pump station planted area, plus various tidy ups of toilet gardens, Hall gardens, and other places around the settlement
WHAT TO BRING: Please wear suitable clothing and strong footwear, gardening gloves, and bring with you - spade or garden fork, secateurs or loppers, pruning saw (if you have any of these), a wheelbarrow might also be useful. If it looks like being sunny please wear a hat and sunscreen.
We will provide morning tea for everyone and some drinking water.
We hope to see many of you on Saturday 27th November 2015.
For more information please give me a call or send me an email.
Kind regards
