Hi everyone
First of all a huge thank you to everyone who has come to help with the Lake Okareka Walking Track Working Bees over the summer. The benching of the new track is almost completed.
There will be minor earthworks to do as the textiles, timber edging and gravel are added to the track. Verda International, a Rotorua timber producer and supplier have offered the timber for the track edging at a very good price.
The contract for the timber boardwalk construction, between the builder John Owen and LOCA is completed. Hopefully work will begin on the timber boardwalks within the next week or so.
There will be no further Wednesday afternoon / evening working bees until further notice.
