A big "thank you" to everyone who came to help with the last mid week Working Bee on the Lake Okareka Walking Track. A good section of track laying work was accomplished.
Brian Law (Project Supervisor) and Mike Goodwin have suggested that this week there will be an after work working bee on the track this coming Thursday 27th October 2016 from 4.30 - 5.00 pm until usually about 6.00 pm.
(They picked Thursday because the other afternoons look likely to be wet!
Please park in the Boyes beach car park and walk across the reserve to the paddle shed. You will have to walk on further if no one is there - although someone will probably be at the gravel pile.
Please bring a shovel and a rake - it will be laying textiles and then spreading gravel over the top - using the tractor and trailer to cart the gravel. Please wear suitable clothing and strong covered footwear. Please bring a drink of water and a snack. You will be expected to sign the H&S register for this Working Bee.
Hoping to see some of you on the afternoon of Thursday 27th October.
Kind regards
Sandra Goodwin
