A big thank you to those who came to help on the Lake Okareka Community walking track last Tuesday!
There is another Working Bee this Tuesday afternoon.
WORKING BEE AFTER WORK - TUESDAY 31st January 2017 any time from 4.00 pm onwards
Once again it will be laying textiles and then gravel over the top, using the tractor and trailer to cart and spread the gravel.
Given that it looks like being a very warm afternoon, Boyes beach area is likely to be very busy, so please park in the car park area near the Te Waiariki Purea Trust Paddle Shed adjacent to Boyes beach (there may be other vehicles with the Te Au Rere Waka Ama club in there too, so please park considerately) and go to where the large heap of gravel is located.
Please wear suitable clothing and strong closed toes foot wear. Bring gardening gloves, a shovel and a rake (if you have them). Please also bring a drink and a snack, if you think you might get hungry/thirsty.
Please mark Tuesday afternoons in your diary as Working Bee afternoons for the Lake Okareka Community Walking Track, until further notice.
Walking Track Saturday Morning Working Bee on Saturday 4th February 2017 from 9 am to 12 noon - much the same instructions apply as are above. Health & Safety sign in at 9 am. Similar work to what the Tuesday afternoons consist of - laying textiles and gravel.
For further information please email [email protected] or phone 07 362 8865.
