First of all many thanks to everyone who came to help at last month's Working Bee - planting pouhutukawa down the Lake Okareka Walkway, and checking on the toilet roof, etc. It was really good to get the trees all planted.
THIS MONTH'S WORKING BEE:
WHEN: Saturday 17th October 2015 from 9am to 12 noon (a week earlier than usual, as we want to have a tidy up at the DOC camp BEFORE Labour Weekend!)
WHERE: the Dept of Conservation camp and day picnic beach, 226 Millar Road.
PLEASE park in the public car park area, unless directed otherwise.
WHAT: a good tidy up of the camp area - pruning, removing potential "fuel", etc - before the summer. There may be some fire wood available that some people could take home with them.
WHAT TO BRING: Please wear suitable clothing and strong footwear, gardening gloves, and bring with you - loppers, pruning saw (if you have these), a wheelbarrow might be useful and if you have them EARMUFFS PLEASE - it is likely to be quite noisy at times, as the mulcher will be working. If it looks like being sunny please wear a hat and sunscreen.
We will provide morning tea for everyone and some drinking water.
We hope to see many of you on Saturday 17th October.
For more information please give me a call or send an email.
Kind regards
