I hope everyone has had a happy and relaxing Christmas and New Year break and you are all back into the swing of things with 2016 now well underway! This month's Landcare Okareka Working bee is at Boyes beach, tidying up the plantings at the reserve. It is possible that there will be some prunings and dead tree branches that will be suitable for firewood. So if you are keen to come and help, please bring a vehicle (with trailer) if you would like some firewood to take home with you.
WHEN: Working Bee on Saturday 27th February 2016 from 9 am to 12 noon
WHERE: Boyes beach reserve - come to the car park area.
WHAT TO BRING: Please wear suitable clothing and strong footwear, maybe throw in your rain gear just in case (we are hoping that the weather will stay fine for the morning!), sun hat and sunscreen if it is fine(! ever hopeful!), gardening gloves, pruning gear, spade, loppers, ear muffs could also be useful, as could a few wheelbarrows, if you have one.
We will provide some drinking water along with morning tea for everyone. Looking forward to seeing many of you this coming Saturday morning.
Kind regards
