This Wednesday 4th March 2015 we have 22 volunteers coming from the NZ Air Force to help with building of the new Lake Okareka Walking Track from 9 am to about 12 noon, once again meeting at the DOC camp car park off Millar Road.
If any of you are available to come and meet these people and also help out that would be wonderful.
If you are also able to bring extra tools with you - wheel barrows, spades, shovels, grubbers and rakes - that would be great too - just please make sure that your tools are well marked with your name or some other identification marks.
We will be borrowing some gear from Dept of Conservation and hiring some equipment like wheel barrows from a hire centre.
I would also appreciate one or two extra hands to help me carry in morning tea (mugs, thermoses, etc) for everyone at about 9.45 am.
Kind regards
Sandra Goodwin
Secretary
Lake Okareka Walking Track Committee
