Work continues to happen on the Lake Okareka Walking Track, which is well under construction.
Thank you to those volunteers who have attended either Wednesday afternoon/evening working bees and/or Saturday working bees.
Wednesday afternoon working bees will continue on this Wednesday 3rd December andnext Wednesday 10th December from 4.30 - 5.00 pm.
There will also be a Saturday working bee this Saturday 6th December - please meet in the car park area at the DOC camp, 226 Millar Road at 9 am to 12 noon.
On all working bees please ensure you are wearing suitable clothing, strong foot wear, sunhat and sunscreen (if sunny), gardening gloves.
Please bring a spade or grubber and a rake (if you have any of these tools) for track benching work.
Also bring a drink and a snack with you.
Wednesday 10th December will be the last Working Bee on the track for 2014.
Working Bees will begin again after Christmas and New Year - please mark in your 2015 diarySaturday 3rd January 2015 from 9 am at the DOC camp, 226 Millar Road car park andWednesday 7th January 2015 from 4.30 - 5.00 pm.
